A cancer-free world begins here

In December, patients will move into the world’s most advanced cancer hospital when the new 21-story James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute opens its doors.

The new hospital represents the latest and most impressive step in the university’s commitment to finding a cure. In addition to the innovative work happening at the hospital, Ohio State’s faculty and staff also are helping to move the fight forward.

World’s first solar battery unveiled. Researchers at Ohio State have created a battery that runs on a combination of light and air. The patent-pending battery will reduce the cost of renewable energy by 25 percent, and the university will license it to industry.
