Study Abroad in Japan Come and learn about the unique study abroad experience that is the international exchange program. Ohio State has a relationship with Hokkaido University (Sapporo), International Christian University (Tokyo), Nanzan University (Nagoya), Tenri University (Tenri),University of Tsukuba (Tsukuba), and Waseda University (Tokyo). Interested students would be applying for the 2013-2014 academic year. These exchange programs are open to students who have completed at least one or two years of college-level Japanese at Ohio State at the time of application and must have a 3.0 GPA or better. Interested in traveling during the May Session rather than a full academic year? Please take a look at the Japanese Language and Culture Program which will travel to Kobe this May 2013. This program is a four-week language and culture course (3 credits) that includes various activities such as field trips, service learning and a research project. Interested students must have completed Japanese 2231 as well as Japanese 4101 or equivalent (or higher) prior to departure. Past participants and faculty from the Department of East Asian Languages & Literatures will be on hand to field your questions about all of these programs.
