Light of the River This interesting environmentally themed animation tells the story of a single-parent family of river rats who are forced to flee their home as urban sprawl threatens their rural habitat. Brothers Tarta and Chichi head to the city with their dad, searching for a new home and hoping they can be happy and safe there before the season changes and it gets too cold. Together they must learn to adapt to new surroundings, make new friends, and look out for each other. (75 mins., appropriate for ages 5 and up, video, in Japanese with English subtitles that will be read aloud during the screening.) |
