Arts and Humanities Inaugural Lecture
Arts and Humanities Inaugural Lecture |
David Stebenne, professor of history and law at The Ohio State University will be the featured speaker at the 2012-13 Arts and Humanities Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, January 16 at 5 pm in the OSU Faculty Club’s Grand Lounge. Stebenne’s lecture, “Economically Necessary vs. Politically Possible: The Crisis of the 1930s and its Consequences”, will explore the late 1930s, which is the last time the U.S. faced a “fiscal cliff” similar to the issue we face today. He says a major goal of his talk is to put today’s crisis in clearer historical perspective.
The lecture is free and open to all, but an RSVP is requested at http://go.osu.edu/Stebenne. A reception will accompany the event.
