Arts and Humanities Inaugural Lecture David Stebenne, professor of history and law at The Ohio State University will be the featured speaker at the 2012-13 Arts and Humanities Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, January 16 at 5 pm in the OSU Faculty ClubÕs Grand Lounge. StebenneÕs lecture, ÒEconomically Necessary vs. Politically Possible: The Crisis of the 1930s and its ConsequencesÓ, will explore the late 1930s, which is the last time the U.S. faced a Òfiscal cliffÓ similar to the issue we face today. He says a major goal of his talk is to put todayÕs crisis in clearer historical perspective. The lecture is free and open to all, but an RSVP is requested at http://go.osu.edu/Stebenne.
