Bet on Prevention, It Has the Best Odds! Problem Gambling Prevention Summit at The Ohio State University |
Gambling has become an acceptable form of leisure among college students and research has demonstrated that problem gambling is prevalent on college campuses. The vast majority of individuals can gamble without experiencing ill effects, yet nearly 8% of students may develop a gambling problem. For these reasons and more, Drug Free Action Alliance and The Ohio State University is pleased to invite you to attend a statewide Problem Gambling Prevention Summit on Friday, April 12, 2013.
Event Details The Summit will be held at The Ohio Union on The Ohio State University campus beginning at 10 a.m. (Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.) and will conclude no later than 3:00 p.m.
This event is free to all college students and those registered to attend the 2013 BACCHUS Area 7 Conference. All others, the event is $10. Lunch will be provided and CEUs will be offered to professionals.
The program promises to appeal to a wide variety of professionals and university staff members from areas of athletics, residential life, student affairs, wellness resource staff, counselors and faculty representatives.
