Haiti Empowerment Project study abroad session
Haiti Empowerment Project study abroad session |
The Haiti Empowerment Project spring break study abroad program (March 8 Š 16, 2014) offers students the opportunity to work on numerous multidisciplinary projects. Students will gain valuable cross-cultural experience working face-to-face with local community members, teachers, leaders, and professionals. This unique program is open to all majors and class ranks, and therefore meaningful and engaging projects exist for students of all disciplines. Whether it is mounting solar panels, supporting entrepreneurs, evolving primary education instruction, or crafting new community organizations, students will play a significant role in empowering several community initiatives. Before departure, students will complete a course during the Spring 2014 semester addressing relevant issues, varying from poverty to empowerment. After the programÕs completion, students will continue reflecting on their experiences by participating in the esteemed Denman Undergraduate Research Forum.
