China Consumer Sciences Info Session
China Consumer Sciences Info Session |
The China Consumer Sciences: Fair Trade Study Tour program will immerse students in exciting, hands-on consumer science projects. Open to students of all majors and backgrounds, the China Consumer Sciences program will travel to Guizhou, China for four weeks during the month of May. The program is very project-based and service oriented, with ample opportunities to work with local Guizhou artisans on product improvement and new product development. Students will work on projects related to the NGO (Chain Reaction) and OSU Lab Store (Global Gallery). The students’ work will build relationships with both Guizhou Normal University and local artisans to increase understanding of traditional crafting methods and establish a foundation for long-term trading of products. There will be a few overnight trips along with five days of sightseeing in Xi’an and Beijing included at the end of the program. For more information, please contact Leslie Callihan.
