The Catskills was a summer world for generations of east coast Jews, and home all year for many Jews. It was a vital part of American culture and a thriving ethnic culture which left memories that linger to the present. Professor Brown and Mr. Gold will each present the Catskills the vacation mecca, and the Catskills the year-round home to many Jewish communities. If you have photos and memorabilia from the Catskills, please bring them to share.
