Event: The OSU Criminal Justice Research Center presents Dr. Rene Olate, Assistant Professor of Social Work, The Ohio State University in a seminar titled " Evidence Based Community Interventions for Tackling the Problems of Youth Gang Violence and Delinquency i
The Ohio State University Criminal Justice Research Center will present Dr. Rene Olate, Assistant Professor of Social Work, The Ohio State University, in a seminar at 12 Noon on Thursday January 9th. The seminar is titled " Evidence-based Community Interventions for Tackling the Problems of Youth Gang Violence and Delinquency in Central America" In recent years, extreme levels of violence in the Northern Triangle of the Central America isthmus have captured international concern. Dr. Olate explores the reasons behind the rise in violence and homicide and will provide evidence for community based interventions in order to tackle the problems of the youth gang violence and delinquency in the region.
