According
to findings from a recent study in a leading business magazine,
Forbes, Ohio State's Fisher College of Business
MBA program offers the most rapid ROI among national business
programs.
Just what is a "ROI"? A ROI, or Return on Investment, is the measure
of time required (in this case, for MBA students) to "earn back"
the cost of obtaining a degree after graduation. It's an increasingly
important statistic that today's students--not only MBAs--scrutinize
before making a commitment of their valuable time and finances.
Specifically, the study shows that Fisher College's full-time
students who started their MBA programs in 1994 recovered the
cost of earning their degrees in 3.3 years--the same length of
time as Harvard's MBAs--and the speediest return of any of the
schools surveyed, including all Big Ten business programs. The
rate of return was based on the cost of out-of-state tuition and
lost income for the time spent in the classroom. Rates of return
for in-state Ohio students would be even higher given lower tuition
costs.
