Last spring, Georgina Dodge, Ohio State's assistant vice provost for Minority Affairs, sat down with 11 African American students to talk about life at Ohio State.

Dodge moderated as the students answered questions on a variety of topics. Among them:

  • "What motivated you to come to college?"
  • "What are the biggest differences between high school and college?"
  • "Does it seem like there's a stereotype that succeeding academically means you're acting white?"
  • "What advice would you give to an African American student wanting to attend college?"
  • "Do you feel that you take on the role of an educator when you're around others who have not been exposed to your race?"

Enjoy watching "Making Our Voices Hear." And visit the Office of Minority Affairs for more information.
