Student. Athlete. Leader.

March 12, 2014

Over the last four years, Aaron Craft has given his all. This Ohio native son has shown grit on the basketball court, drive in the classroom, and compassion through community service. Here is a closer look at the backstory of Ohio State's beloved No. 4.

As Craft and his teammates head into the 2014 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament this week, the speculation will continue about what lies ahead for the senior point guard with a 3.92 GPA.

Is he bound for the NBA or medical school? Or destined for both?

“I wish I knew,” Craft says, acknowledging that he ultimately will not be the one to decide whether he’s NBA material. “I’m just going to enjoy the ride as much as possible and see where it takes us.”

Whether it’s to play professionally or continue on to medical school, Coach Thad Matta is certain Craft will display the same dedication he has as a student-athlete the last four years at Ohio State: “Nobody’s going to work harder or be more committed like he is with whatever he chooses.”
