HONORARY DEGREES: Honorary doctorates will be presented to John N. Bahcall, one of the world's most influential astrophysicists and a professor at Princeton University; Paul E. Bierley, an OSU alumnus who is an historian, musician, scholar and aeronautical engineer; and F. Albert Cotton, one of the world’s preeminent research chemists from Texas A&M University.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD: The Distinguished Service Awards will be presented to William E. Arthur and Floradelle A. Pfahl, close friends of the university.
