IN REMEMBRANCE
Ohio State commemorates 9/11

The anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001 give a moment for the entire Ohio State community to remember and reflect upon how our lives have changed in the past year. The following campus events are scheduled:

Flag Ceremony
At 8:40 a.m on the 11th, Ohio State's ROTC units will begin a flag ceremony at the rock on the Oval side of Bricker Hall by playing the National Anthem as the flag is raised. At 8:46 a.m., the moment that the first plane hit the first World Trade Center, a moment of silence will be observed. Then, a color guard will lower the flag to half-staff, wreaths will be placed near the rock, "Taps" will be played, and service members will give a 21-gun salute. Faculty, staff, and students who have been called to serve their country during the past year will be acknowledged in programs provided at the ceremony. For those unable to attend the flag ceremony, a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. will be observed across the campus.
