Project Vote 2000

'Project Vote 2000' is a unique coalition of 12 student groups and University offices that was formed at The Ohio State University in early September 2000 to help engage the university community in the upcoming election. Project Vote hopes to accomplish three goals: to register a record number of new Ohio State voters (at least 5000) by October 10, to bring real candidates and public figures to campus to discuss the issues, and to ensure that members of the Ohio State community have knowledge and opportunity to get to the polls on November 7 and cast their vote.

Members of the public may stop by Ohio Union Room 208 between 10am and 5pm, now through October 10 to register to vote.

The groups involved in Project Vote 2000 include: The Council of Graduate Students, The Undergraduate Student Government, The Inter-Professional Council, the Black Association of North Campus Students, the Ohio State NAACP, the Human Rights Campaign, the Campus Green Party, the John Glenn Institute, the Ohio Union Activities Board, the Office of Student Activities and Campus Events, and the College Democrats.
