Christine Donovan College: The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law (J.D.) and the John Glenn School of Public Affairs (M.A.) Major: J.D. - and M.A. - Public Policy and Management Graduation: May 2013 DICE unit: Moritz College of Law Hobbies: Reading, traveling, studying and speaking Spanish and other Romance languages; volunteering (Public Interest Law Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Immigration Counseling Services); walking and running; wedding planning; playing guitar poorly and singing acceptably; super-couponing. Interests or career goals: I aim to work in the nonprofit sector in a management or development capacity, ideally with an organization that focuses on education. In the short term, I hope to work in Columbus and central Ohio. Ultimately, I would like to shift to an international focus. Personal goal during DICE: I hope to gain an understanding of the many stages of stewardship that the Moritz’s Development team engages. To do this, I want to see the Moritz team in meetings with donors and to debrief those meetings and the other elements of relationship building with the Moritz team. As a current Moritz student, I hope to provide perspective about the interests and concerns of Moritz alumni in a way that helps the college in the future. |

Interests or career goals: My family was personally touched by the Make-A- Wish Foundation. After graduation, I hope to work for Make-A-Wish where I will use my passion for the cause to give back to deserving children. Eventually, I intend to earn a master’s degree in public administration, higher education or school counseling. Personal goals during DICE: I hope to gain confidence in fundraising strategies and develop communication skills with potential donors. I also hope to obtain an inside perspective on non-profits through firsthand experience while developing new relationships and networking skills. I am excited to grow in professional and personal ways! |

I am also a member of Student-Alumni Council and enjoy working on service opportunities on and around campus. Interests or career goals: After graduation, I plan on attending graduate school to pursue a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration. I would love to work in development or student affairs at a university in the future. Building relationships that will allow for opportunities that will better the student experience is something that I am very passionate about! Interests or career goals: I would love to work at a college or university in some sort of college student personnel role. I have many interests including admissions, advising, study abroad, and development amongst a few others. My ultimate goal would be to work in one of these capacities in a college/ department with an agriculture emphasis.
