The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine has educated 85% of Ohio’s veterinarians.
Ohio State’s College of Veterinary Medicine is ranked fifth by U.S. News & World Report (2012) among the 28 veterinary colleges in North America. This past year, one of every five prospective veterinary students nationally wanted to attend Ohio State.
The Clinical Trials Office at the College of Veterinary Medicine is the largest and most comprehensive center for clinical trials on client-owned animals in the country. Clinical trials contribute to the advancement of veterinary medicine, can potentially improve a pet’s health with the newest treatments available, and may even lead to advances in human health. Ohio State has the only partnership in the nation between a veterinary clinical trials office and a comprehensive cancer center.
