For the fourth consecutive year, Ohio State's Comprehensive Cancer Center–Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute has been named among the safest and most effective hospitals in the country, according to a 2012 national ranking from the Leapfrog Group.

The Board of Trustees unanimously voted in favor of the honorific naming of The Ohio State University Medical Center as the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University, honoring Les Wexner's three decades of visionary leadership and service to the university.
