Visual Identity Guidelines

University Logo

College, Department, or Unit Distinction

All logos for individual units are restricted and require approval from University Marketing Communications. Individual academic or administrative units may not develop any special symbols, logos, or wordmarks as their identifiers without proper authorization. University Marketing Communications works with colleges and departments to establish the most acceptable and appropriate type for the unit.

Placement of the name is to the right of the logo, centered from the top and bottom. It can have a box around the complete logo.

The name must be set in Minion regular, semibold, bold, or Univers 47, 57, 67 (condensed light, condensed Roman, condensed bold) as shown. The typefaces cannot be combined.

The name of the unit will reproduce in black letters on a white background. No name will reverse to white letters.

The following logos are approved examples of the appropriate formats. Only approved typography can be used in conjunction with the logo. No other symbols or graphic elements can be used. The only exception to this guideline is The Ohio State University Medical Center. See Logo with Campus or Location Distinction.
