Rebecca Marks is finishing her 5th year as a Buckeye, and the extra year has definitely paid off for her. With the help of the David Imhof Memorial Scholarship Fund, Rebecca has been able to major in English, Pre-Education with three minors, Creative Writing, Jewish Studies, and Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies. After being accepted to Harvard, Columbia, and Ohio State, Rebecca will be starting her Masters in Education from Vanderbilt Peabody College next fall.

During her undergraduate adventure at Ohio State, Rebecca was able to pursue her many passions thanks to alleviate financial stress. Without having to work to afford her education, Rebecca had time to participate in the Politics, Society and Law Scholars Program. PSL Scholars live in the same residence hall together their first year, and come to see the world through a legal and political perspective by partaking in special seminar classes, trips, lectures, programs, projects and workshops.

Rebecca's desire to teach was strengthened when she was accepted into The Girls Circle Project at OSU. The process of becoming a member was competitive, and required a years worth of training, but resulted in Rebecca facilitating after-school programs of elementary and high school girls in local Columbus schools. Rebecca lead them through discussing heavy topics for girls, like self-image and bullying. She called it "excellent preparation for my teaching goals."

On top of those two highly time consuming groups, Rebecca was also chapter president of her sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi. As president, she regularly lead her sorority in philanthropic events, especially for The Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Sharsherat, a national cancer survivor organization.

With the help of her considerate donors, Rebecca was able to have an amazing Buckeye career which is catapulting her into the next successful chapter of her life.
