The Feltz "follow Woody’s advice" and Pay it Forward

Mr. and Mrs. Feltz at the 2013 Scholarship Reception

When asked why they decided to establish the John and Cindy Feltz Scholarship, Mr. and Mrs. Feltz explained that their parents made a habit of giving when they were able and "it seemed natural to follow suit." They also said "We follow Woody’s advice, ‘pay it forward.’ It’s one way to leave a legacy, a small way to help humankind in our small corner of the world."

As active members of The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Greene County, they are dedicated to helping the youth of their home county. Apart from their scholarship, they also work with the club to recruit students and "bring the spirit of OSU to Greene County."

"We feel the spirit and sense of energy from our former roommates, classmates, and sorority sisters we connect with all over the county." The Feltzes also bring the spirit of Greene County to Columbus, as they are no strangers to main campus. They attend yearly campus tours and sporting events, as well as actively participate in Ohio State Student Recruitment Workshops and Alumni Leadership Conferences.

Ohio State is fortunate to have not just thriving Buckeyes around the world, but also committed alumni who return home to reconnect with the campus community.
