Scholarship Recipient, Samantha Walkin

"Thank you so much for awarding me the John G. Evans Endowed Family Scholarship and helping me in my pursuit of education at The Ohio State University. This scholarship allows me to advance my educational career and explore new opportunities that this university has to offer. I am currently enrolled as an incoming freshman, right out of high school, as a neuroscience undergraduate major. I plan to stay on the pre-med track and attend medical school in hopes of one day becoming a doctor, though I am unsure of a specialty. I have been a fan of the Buckeyes since before I could walk and I cannot contain my excitement to finally be able to call myself one. The John G. Evans Endowed Family Scholarship helps me immensely in the beginning of my long journey through college and I cannot express enough how thankful I am to you and your family. Again, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity and I hope to make the Evans Scholarship foundation proud."
