President Gee to host faculty and staff on road trip to southwestern Ohio July 23-24
Participants to get first-hand look at university partnerships during Roads Scholars Tour
COLUMBUS – The Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee and Vice President Valerie Lee will take a group of faculty and administrative leaders from Ohio State on the Roads Scholars Tour, a two-day road trip across southwestern Ohio, July 23-24. Participants will tour key partnership sites supported by the university and see first-hand the reach and impact that teaching, research, and service have on communities and residents across the state.
As the state’s flagship land-grant institution of higher learning, The Ohio State University has forged partnerships in each of Ohio’s 88 counties and works aggressively to address Ohio's emerging needs and create opportunities for growth and progress.

Gee first initiated the Roads Scholars Tour in 1997, and since then, faculty and administrative leaders have traveled to all parts of the state to better understand how Ohio State’s partnerships have improved lives and strengthened the state's economy. One of the president’s strategic goals for the university is enhancing its work with Ohio's communities.
