Statement in Support of Student-Veterans

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs recently experienced a problem while transferring electronic records between regional offices, resulting in a temporary loss of a number of student eligibility certifications in the Midwest region. 


We have contacted all affected student-veterans at The Ohio State University to offer emergency, no-interest loans to cover their books and housing allowance.

These emergency loans, along with our existing tuition policy that exempts student-veterans from late fees and class drops as a result of delayed funding, reinforce the university’s commitment to its students.
