Ohio State research makes waves at COSI
COLUMBUS – An Ohio State engineering professor's research into wave patterns and erosion has gone into a new exhibit at Columbus' Center for Science and Industry (COSI). Diane Foster, a faculty member in Civil and Environmental Engineering, was invited by COSI to construct a water flume to demonstrate ocean floor movement as part of COSI’s larger Ocean Exhibit. The exhibit opened to the public earlier this year, and gives an interactive look at how waves (created by the kids) effect beach erosion, as well as the larger impact of hurricanes on beachfronts.
