USAC successful in partnering with university leadership and Office of Human Resources to eliminate the dependent tuition assistance wait period.

The University Staff Advisory Committee has been pursuing a reduction in the three year wait period for use of the Dependent Tuition Assistance Benefit as part of their annual recommendations in the Staff Compensation and Benefits Report. Under President Gee's leadership, and with support from deans, vice presidents and the Office of Human Resources, the Ohio State Board of Trustees voted in favor of eliminating the wait period all together at its business meeting on Friday, July 11. Take the Office of Human Resources Culture Survey

The purpose of the Culture Survey is to provide President Gee, Provost Alutto, college deans, the Office of Human Resources -- and really, the entire university community -- with information to help move Ohio State from excellence to eminence.

Survey responses will further our understanding of how we can best support you as critical members of the university community. We want to know what motivated you to come to Ohio State and what will keep you here. We will explore what we learn from the survey so that we can address the areas where we need to improve in the ways that are most useful to you.

During the February 20th Town Meeting USAC received over 100 questions to be posed to President Gee and the senior administration officials in attendance with him. During the one hour meeting not all of these questions could be asked. USAC, wanting to make sure that all questions submitted were asked, sent copies of all the questions to the president's office.
