Vice President Al Gore will deliver a campaign address Wednesday afternoon (2/2) at the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High Street, on the Ohio State campus. Gore is scheduled to speak on his vision for education from 4-5 p.m. in the Ohio Union ballroom. He is the guest of Undergraduate Student Government (USG), OSU College Democrats, Inter-Professional Council and the Council of Graduate Students.
OSU Media Relations will handle credentials on-site at the Ohio Union for all local journalists who wish to cover the Gore visit. Journalists wishing to cover the event should bring a photo ID and proof of media employment to the check-in table at the ballroom, located on the first floor of the Ohio Union. Media desiring an on-site phone line may arrange installation through UNITS, 292-8648. The cost is approximately $45.
The pre-set time for broadcast equipment is noon-1:30 p.m. All journalists must be checked in and in position by 3:30 p.m. There is limited room on the broadcast platform, so we strongly recommend that you are in place by 1:30 p.m. Electric power and an audio mult box will be provided on the media platform. The event will last approximately one hour.

This event is open to the public. A ticket is required for entry into the ballroom. Free tickets for the event are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Tickets are available for Ohio State students, faculty and staff at 5 campus locations: USG Office in Ohio Union Room 201, Baker Dining Commons, Kennedy Dining Commons, Morrill Dining Commons, and North Dining Commons.
