Lunch on the Bucks: Ohio State President Kirwan invites D.C. reporters to Press Club roundtable

News conference to follow on final Kellogg Commission report

Washington, D.C., bureau reporters for Ohio news agencies are invited to lunch and a roundtable discussion with Ohio State University President William E. Kirwan at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at the National Press Club. The lunch is an opportunity for you to catch up with the president of Ohio's largest public university and learn more about Ohio State's future plans and goals. Following the roundtable, Kirwan will play a leading role in a news conference sponsored by the Kellogg Commission on the Future of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. Commission members will present their sixth and final publication, Renewing the Covenant: Learning, Discovery, and Engagement in a New Age and Different World. Kirwan chaired the committee producing the report, which urges passage of legislation to help universities acquire the technological infrastructure they need to meet their broad responsibilities, as well as changes in the tax code to encourage more university-private sector research partnerships.
