Researcher Will Lead National Anti-Cancer Effort
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) will announce at a major national news conference tomorrow (April 6) that an Ohio State researcher will lead a national effort to reduce cancer in the Asian American community. Moon S. Chen, a professor of public health and researcher at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, will receive a multi-million dollar grant from the NCI to lead a five-year program known as the Asian American Network for Cancer Awareness, Research, and Training (AANCART), that includes five other prestigious major cancer centers.
Immediately following the announcement in Washington, Chen will be available here for interviews about the AANCART and the increasing impact of cancer on Asian Americans.
