It's Raining Eggs!--April 10-14. Engineers' Week 2000 brings together students from all disciplines in engineering to display their skills in competitions. Here are a few of the events:

*Tuesday (4/11) Egg Drop Contest, 3-5 p.m. atop the Northwest parking garage, 271 Ives Drive.

*Tuesday (4/11) Index Card Tower, 2-3:30 p.m., Dreese Laboratories lobby, 2015 Neil Ave.

*Wednesday (4/12) Paper Airplane Contest, 2-4 p.m. in the courtyard between McPherson and Smith Labs, 140-174 W. 18th Ave.

*Wednesday (4/12) Balsa Bridge Building, 2:30-6:30 p.m. in the Hitchcock Hall lobby, 2070 Neil Ave.

*Thursday (4/13) Straw Tower Building, 2:30-5:30 p.m. in Dreese Laboratories lobby.

*Thursday (4/13) Rube Goldberg Machine, 4:30-6 p.m. in the Hitchcock Hall lobby.

*Friday (4/14) Tricycle Relay, 2-3:30 p.m. Robinson Laboratory courtyard, 206 W. 18th Ave.

Who Done It?--April 11. Faculty and students from the College of Biological Sciences' Departments of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics will help Beechcroft biology students find out "Who Done It" using DNA fingerprinting techniques. Department of Theatre undergraduates wrote a crime scene scenario and produced a video that can be used as a teaching tool. This group will bring their roving DNA lab and the "DNA Files" to Beechcroft High School, 6100 Beechcroft Rd., on Tuesday, April 11, from 11:30 a.m.-12:57 p.m.

Students Can Learn More About Proposed Technology Fee--April 11. Provost Ed Ray will receive a recommendation next week to institute a student learning technology fee beginning autumn quarter. Funds would support insturctional technology. Students will have a chance to learn more about the proposal at a forum from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday (4/11) in 1000 McPherson Laboratory, 140 W. 18th Ave.

Innovation in Dispute Resolution is Topic of Lecture--April 13. Law professor Carrie J. Menkel-Meadow will discuss The New Sensibilities of Conflict Resolution: New Paradigms of Lawyering in Problem Solving and Consensus Building at the College of Law on Thursday (4/13). Menkel-Meadow, a professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center, chairs the Georgetown-CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution Commission on Ethics and Standards in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She will begin her talk at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of Drinko Hall (law building), 55 W. 12th Ave.
