Commencement officials will hold a media availability on the Oval on Tuesday, June 6, from 1 to 2 p.m. Workers will be setting up 30,000 chairs, finishing construction on the speakers' platform, installing the sound system and making other preparations that should provide good photos. President William E. Kirwan and key commencement planners will be on hand for one-on-one interviews.

When you're done there, walk over to 1640 Neil Ave. for a tour of the new Younkin Success Center. The center consolidates several student -- and some faculty -- services under one roof. Student Athlete Services, Counseling and Consultation Service, the Career Connection office, Faculty and TA Development, the new Academic Learning Lab and a media resource suite have all set up shop in the new center. A formal dedication will take place in the center at 5:15 p.m. Media also are welcome there.
