Ohio State is site of national post-debate broadcast

Network will select undecided voters to participate in focus group

COLUMBUS - The Ohio State University will shine in the national spotlight on Tuesday (10/17) when the university hosts an ABC News broadcast.

The beautiful Orton Hall Library will be the setting as a 20-member focus group views and then discusses the final presidential debate.

The network has followed each televised debate with reaction from a group undecided voters and has tapped Ohio State as the site of the final focus group. The earlier post-debate broadcasts came from Oakland University (Michigan) and the University of Tampa (Florida).

The undecided voters in the focus group will be selected Sunday night by an independent polling company. Ohio State students are not expected to participate in the group. Panel members will arrive at Orton Hall prior to the 9 p.m. telecast and will watch the debate together. Following the 90-minute program, the voters will be asked how the debate has affected their opinions.

In order to accommodate the broadcast, Orton Hall library will be closed to the public on Tuesday evening.
