Presidential debate-watchers to gather on campus

Ohio State students to take advantage of 'teachable moment'

Sen. John Glenn will join some 40 Ohio State University students Tuesday night to watch the third presidential debate from 8 to 11 p.m. in Stillman Hall Room 400, 1947 College Road. The students are participating in the John Glenn Institute's Living-Learning Program, which allows students from a wide variety of academic backgrounds to explore public service careers. Glenn will discuss his own experiences on the campaign trail and his views on the media and the debates.

Across campus in Independence Hall, 1923 Neil Ave., "Project Vote," a consortium of student organizations, is also sponsoring a debate party. Students will watch the debate live and then discuss the event from a historical perspective. All students are invited in an effort to get them interested in voting.
