Owners of cars damaged on Nov. 19 will choose new ones
Frank Byers offers four their choice from his Broad St. lot
Four individuals whose cars were damaged in the off-campus disturbances on Nov. 19 will be able to choose replacements, thanks to the generosity of car dealer Frank Byers. Byers has invited the individuals (two are students, two are not) to his Chrysler dealership at 390 E. Broad St. at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow (12/9) to choose one of seven cars to drive home. Byers, an Ohio State graduate, says he is gratified to give back to the community that his family has served since 1897. Byers says he has noticed that more and more students are paying their way through school and need transportation. This is the second time Byers has assisted people who lost vehicles—he gave seven cars away following disturbances near campus several years ago.
