COLUMBUS –- A bake sale to help finance the trip of The Ohio State University Marching Band to the Inaugural Parade will be held on Saturday (1/13) at the Kroger at 1375 Chambers Rd.

The Pep Band, led by band director Jon Woods, will play at the sale at 10 a.m.

Since marching in the Inaugural Parade is beyond the scope of normal university or athletic performances, Ohio State’s band, like many other bands marching in the parade, is responsible for raising its own funds for the event. The band hopes to raise $55,000 to fund the trip, and Woods said fundraising initiatives in place are going well.

WHAT:The pep band will play during a bake sale organized to raise money to fund the band's trip to play in the Inaugural Parade for George W. Bush.
