As layoffs increase nationally, Ohio State is looking for a few good workers
Employment Services holds Open House for skilled trades workers
The Office of Employment Services will hold an open house next week at the Northwood/High Building, 2231 N. High St., to recruit candidates for skilled trade positions.
The positions being recruited include maintenance repair workers, electricians, electronic technicians, painters, steamfitters, boiler maintenance workers, and treatment plant operators. Because each position title requires a specific minimum amount of related experience, detailed descriptions will be on hand at the open house. Those interested will meet with representatives from Physical Facilities, and Housing, Food Services and Events Centers (HFSEC). Applicants should bring a resume and will complete an application. Those unable to attend may call the Employment Services office Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (614) 292-9380.WHAT: Open House to recruit applicants for skilled trades positions at Ohio State, including electricians, painters, maintenance workers and others.
WHEN: Monday (3/26) from 4 to 7 p.m.; Tuesday (3/27) from noon to 3 p.m. and Wednesday (3/28) from 4 to 7 p.m.
WHERE: Northwood/High Building, 2231 North High Street. Park in the rear.
WHY: Employment opportunities for skilled workers at Ohio State.
