STATEMENT FROM
LEE TASHJIAN, VICE PRESIDENT FOR UNIVERSITY RELATIONS, REGARDING RESOLUTION
OF EXPENSE REPORT CASE
COLUMBUS -- The
Ohio State University and Coach John Cooper have resolved the matter of irregularities
found in several of the coach’s expense reports.
The university has accepted Coach Cooper’s apology to the university, and that
letter of apology is attached. The coach also has agreed to compensate Ohio
State for $2,000, the amount of money in question.
We regret this matter was not resolved when we first brought it to the coach’s
attention. Nevertheless, we would like to wish Coach Cooper and his family well,
and we look forward to putting this unfortunate situation behind us.
