Ohio State graduates’ council hosts research forum
Students vie for research recognition, cash prizes
Innovative treatments for Multiple Sclerosis and teachers’ opinions of high stake graduate tests are among the graduate research projects to be presented at the Council of Graduate Students’ 15th Annual Edward F. Hayes Graduate Research Forum, 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday (4/21), at McPherson Chemical Laboratory, 140 W. 18th Ave.
More than 80 graduate students will present their original research to faculty and guests to earn recognition in their area of research and to win a piece of the $12,000 in cash prizes. Ohio State University faculty members and other officials will judge the research projects.
An awards luncheon immediately follows the forum at the Faculty Club, 181 S. Oval Drive. Vice President for Research Bradley Moore is the keynote speaker for the luncheon, and he and Graduate School Dean Susan Huntington will present the awards. President William E. Kirwan and Executive Vice President and Provost Ed Ray will give remarks at the beginning of the luncheon.
This event is co-sponsored by the Graduate School and the Office of Research.
