Ohio State dedicates Multicultural Center in Ohio Union

Center is intended to promote cultural awareness

The Ohio State University will unveil its new Multicultural Center at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday (10/3) on the fourth floor of the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St.  The Multicultural Center is a significant initiative of Ohio State’s Diversity Action Plan. 

Dignitaries at the dedication include President William E. Kirwan; Provost Ed Ray; Vice President for Student Affairs Bill Hall; Christine Balangee Morris, the center’s newly appointed interim director; and Rebecca Parker, director of the Ohio Unions.

The Multicultural Center is intended to promote greater cultural awareness and understanding.  As a venue for discussion, networking and relationship building, the Multicultural Center will offer a clearinghouse of information for Ohio State students, faculty, staff and the public.

The dedication is free and open to the public.
