Dreese Lab victim Identified

COLUMBUS – After working for nearly a week, Ohio State University Police have identified the man who fell to his death Friday (10/19) from the balcony of Dreese Lab. 

The victim has been identified as James S. Suh, 21, of 50 W. Oakland Ave. Suh moved to Columbus from Arizona in June and was not affiliated with the university in any way, according to authorities. 

In an apparent suicide attempt, Suh jumped from the eighth floor balcony of Dreese Lab, 2015 Neil Ave., at around 10:30 a.m. last Friday. He was pronounced dead at University Hospitals less than an hour later. He carried no identification and police had asked for assistance from the public in identifying the man. They were finally able to contact Suh’s brother in New York City to make an identification.
