Football fans will face delays on I-70
Ohio Dept. of Transportation schedules emergency bridge repair
Motorists should expect delays throughout the weekend, and especially on football Saturday on I-70 on the west side of Columbus as the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) conducts emergency bridge repair and resurfacing work.
Beginning after 9 p.m. Friday (11/16) and continuing through the weekend, crews will close various lanes of I-70 between Rome-Hilliard and Wilson roads.
Motorists who must travel through the construction zone should allow extra time as they attempt to reach Ohio Stadium for the 12:10 p.m. kickoff against Illinois.
ODOT officials say scheduling problems and inevitable colder temperatures prohibit additional delays in the project.
