01-31-94 Students for Disability Awareness to host forum STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES WILL SHARE CONCERNS WITH PRESIDENT GEE COLUMBUS -- The organization Students for Disability Awareness (SDA) will host a public forum with E. Gordon Gee, president of The Ohio State University, on Friday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Rathskeller of Pomerene Hall, 1760 Neil Ave. Maurice Madry, president of SDA, says that the forum will be an opportunity for all students with disabilities to talk with President Gee about their campus concerns. An American Sign Language interpreter will be provided for the forum, and refreshments will be served at the conclusion. SDA was founded last spring to address the interests of students with disabilities. "We want to be involved in the decision-making processes that affect students with disabilities and to initiate a positive awareness of both our successes and the challenges we face," says Madry, a junior majoring in business. "We want the university to look at our organization as a resource."
