03-04-94 Discovery Channel to carry engineering video

DISCOVERY CHANNEL WILL SHOW VIDEO OF ENGINEERING RESEARCH CENTER

     Cable television's Discovery Channel will carry a five-
minute video on Ohio State University's Engineering Research
Center for Net Shape Manufacturing on Monday, March 7, at 7 a.m.

     The video will shown at the beginning of the Discovery
Channel's one-hour program, "USA Corporate Profiles."

     Professor Taylan Altan, director of the Engineering Research
Center, said the video was produced recently to describe the
center and its activities.  The video will be used on behalf of
the center to attract students, solicit industrial support and
increase public awareness of the center's work.
