03-24-94 Pharmacy Day PROSPECTIVE PHARMACY STUDENTS INVITED TO OPEN HOUSE AT OHIO STATE COLUMBUS -- The annual Pharmacy Day open house at The Ohio State University will be Saturday, April 16. Sponsored by the College of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Student Council, the event gives college and high school students, as well as parents, teachers, counselors, relatives and practicing pharmacists an opportunity to find out about pharmacy education at Ohio State. Guests are invited to tour the College of Pharmacy; hear presentations about admissions, the pharmacy curriculum, career opportunites and financial aid; and talk informally with pharmacy faculty, students and staff. The program runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with registration and a continental breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration is necessary and there is a $10 per person fee, which covers the cost of breakfast, lunch and materials. The College of Pharmacy currently offers a five-year baccalaureate program of study that leads to the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree. The first two years of prerequisite study are primarily composed of math and science courses.
