The tournament includes 34 events in various science categories, including aerodynamics, chemistry, physics and geology. The events are designed to be fun as well as educational. For example, in the Amphibians and Reptiles event, students answer questions about live and preserved specimens that are on display. In the Bridge Building event students construct a bridge of wood and glue competing to build the lightest bridge that can hold a given weight over a period of time.
