04-22-94 Herrick Drive Bridge to Close

                         NEWS ADVISORY:
       HERRICK DRIVE BRIDGE TO CLOSE ON OHIO STATE CAMPUS

     The bridge over the Olentangy River on Herrick Drive just
west of Cannon Drive on Ohio State University's Columbus campus
will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Wednesday through
Friday, April 27-29.  The bridge will be open to traffic during
the morning and afternoon rush hours on those days.

     The bridge is being closed to permit a crane to lift steel
beams into place for the widening of the bridge.

     Work on improvements to Cannon Drive will continue through
the summer.  Beginning June 13 through mid-July, traffic moving
south on Cannon Drive will be able to proceed no further than the
service drive at Lincoln Tower.  Traffic moving north on Cannon
Drive will be able to go no further than the entrance to the
parking lot between Lincoln and Morrill towers.
