08-03-94 Elton John/Billy Joel Concert Information

ELTON JOHN, BILLY JOEL CONCERT IS SATURDAY (8/6/94)

     COLUMBUS -- Ohio Stadium at The Ohio State University will
be the site of a concert in the Face to Face Tour featuring Billy
Joel and Elton John on Saturday (8/6) at 7:30 p.m.

     Ohio State's Student Events Committee is campus host and the
local sponsor is the Columbus Dispatch.  More than 70,000 fans
are expected for the concert.

     Tickets are still available through TicketMaster, 431-3600,
according to Sharon Rone, campus concert coordinator.  Tickets
cost $37.50 and $70, plus applicable service charges.  Concert
goers who have ordered tickets from TicketMaster may pick them up
in the north rotunda of the stadium, she said.

     Parking lots will open at 2 p.m. and the stadium gates open
at 5:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. concert.  Parking is $5 for cars
and $20 for buses.

     Patrons may enter the stadium at any gate but should go to
their seat section through the concourse portal indicated by the
number of their tickers.  Ticket holders in B and C decks cannot
reach those decks through the A-Deck portal, Rone said.

     Persons with disabilities who have field seats should enter
the stadium at the lower level gate 1, on the north end of the
stadium, Rone said.  Disability restrooms will be located under
the stadium at gates 1 and 2.

     Video cameras, still cameras, umbrellas, strollers, food,
cans, coolers, containers and bottles will not be permitted in
the stadium.  Ticketholders who leave the stadium cannot re-enter
without another ticket.
