10-12-94 Roundtable on Business & Environment NEWS ADVISORY BUSINESS-ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ISSUES TOPIC OF FORUM A public policy roundtable on business and the environment will be held Friday (10/14) at The Ohio State University. The program will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the College of Law, 55 W. 12th Ave. Topics and panelists will include: =FE Risk assessment for environmental protection theory and practice, with Samuel Ratick, director, Center for Technology, Environment, and Development, Clark University; Richard Hicks, project director, Priorities '95, Columbus Health Department; and Frank Hood, quality director, Environmental Systems and Technology Division, Battelle Memorial Institute. =FE Emerging integrated approaches to resource planning and environmental protection, with Jeff Featherstone, senior policy analyst, Delaware River Basin Commission; Robert Vertrees, assistant professor, School of Natural Resources at Ohio State; and Jerome Tianianow, chair of the Steering Committee, Priorities '95. =FE Application of market-based mechanisms for environmental protection, with Benjamin Hobbs, professor, Case Western Reserve University; John Palmisano, director, environmental policy, ENRON Corp.; and Dale Heydiauff, vice president of environmental affairs, American Electric Power. Donald R. Schregardus, director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will discuss "1994 and Beyond: The Ohio EPA's Priorities" in the keynote address. The goal of the roundtable is to identify public policy issues on business and the environment and develop an agenda of research for collaborative studies by specialists in the field and university faculty, staff, and students.
