10-19-94 Disabilities Task Force to Hold Meetings at OSU DISABILITIES TASK FORCE TO HOLD OPEN MEETINGS AT OHIO STATE COLUMBUS -- A series of three open meetings will be held at The Ohio State University by the Students with Disabilities Task Force to consider improvements to the campus climate for person with disabilities. Two meetings for Ohio State students will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., both in the Stecker Lounge of the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St. The meetings will provide an opportunity for students with disabilities to share their experiences at Ohio State and to help the task force identify areas of concern for students. A third meeting will be held for faculty and staff to identify and discuss instructional tools and support services that are needed when they work with students with disabilities. This meeting will be on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room 021 of Lazenby Hall, 1827 Neil Ave. The 24-member task force, which includes students, faculty and staff, was named last March by Vice President for Student Affairs David Williams II to examine services, facilities and programs that impact students and other persons with disabilities at Ohio State and to make recommendations to enhance academic, employment and visitor experiences at Ohio State. # Contact: Mary Lou Bean, chairperson of the task force, (614) 292-2800.
