01-12-95 Sinclair, Clark State Articulation Agreement signed

           OHIO STATE TO COMPLETE TRANSFER AGREEMENTS
            WITH TWO WESTERN OHIO COMMUNITY COLLEGES

     E. Gordon Gee, president of The Ohio State University, will
travel to western Ohio on Friday, Jan. 20, to sign transfer
articulation agreements with two community colleges.  The
agreements will make transferring to Ohio State easier for
students attending Sinclair Community College in Dayton and Clark
State Community College in Springfield.  Gee will be joined at
each ceremony by the community college president.

     The transfer articulation agreements conclude more than a
year of work by the faculties of the institutions.  The
agreements spell out which courses at the community colleges will
be accepted for credit and will apply to degree requirements at
Ohio State.

     The agreements are based on the principles of the Ohio
Articulation and Transfer Policy adopted by the Ohio Board of
Regents.  That policy encourages cooperation among state
supported universities and colleges and supports policies to ease
the student transfer process.

     Below is a schedule of the signing ceremonies on Jan. 20:

     10 a.m. Sinclair Community College, Sinclair Center,
     (Building 12) room 12-120.  David Ponitz, president, will
      sign for Sinclair.

     3 p.m.  Clark State Community College, Brinkman Educational
     Center, 100 South Limestone, 4th floor.  Albert Salerno,
     president, will sign for Clark State.
